Preschool is 40!

Dear parents,

Just another reminder that tomorrow is an inset day for staff training. We will be planning another exciting term of fun and learning, the last one before our biggest children head off to school! 

Chicken pox

We have had 3 reported cases of chicken pox this half term. Children can return to preschool once all of the spots have scabbed over.

Suncream and hats 

Please make sure your child has suncream applied before coming to preschool. This then covers them for the morning garden time and we will re-apply after lunch for the afternoon. They also need to wear sunhats. We have plenty of spares but please name any you bring in. 

Spare clothing and wellies 

Please continue to pack plenty of spare clothing and wellies each day. The children will be using water and will need wellies to do so. When they are tipping and pouring their shoes get very wet and they cannot then keep them on for the rest of the day. For welly weds they will be using lots of mud and water so please make sure they are wearing old clothing or things you don’t mind them getting dirty. This week hannah will be here for our monthly forest session.

Father’s Day breakfast

Our Father’s Day breakfast is coming up on Friday 16th June 8.30-9.30. Please come and join us for a bacon roll and a cuppa. Don’t forget to let us know if you can make it.

40th birthday 

SAVE the DATE. Saturday 1st July we have a family fun day planned to celebrate preschools 40th birthday! Please do come along and bring your family and friends. There will be photographs from years gone by, pimms, icecream, face painting and much more. Spread the word! 

Visits to big school 

For those of you that have children heading off to Harting primary this sept we have now received a copy of the transition dates. When it says child and familiar adult we will be able to take any children over whose parents are unable to. The only exception to this is the 20th June. We are unfortunately unable to take any children over due to staffing levels that day. Our weekly Monday visits will continue for the rest of this term. 

Graduation 

We will be finalising a date for the preschool graduation this week so will let you know as soon as we do. We can’t believe it’s that time again!
